Bar Fred is situated on Nicholson St, up to the top end, where you would only venture if you lived there. But that’s only because you didn’t know Bar Fred was up there. 

This place pumps out some stellar $5 pizzas. The price to quality ratio is off the charts, sure its not the BEST pizza going round, but for a cheeky fiver, it’s awesome. Then there is the beer list. Stocking up on a bunch of local microbrews and obscure imports, this is up there with the towns best. Being winter, it’s time to get into the dark ales, try Red Hill’s Scotch Ale for a tasty introduction to the ‘dark side’.

The interior kind of looks like an abandoned Italian family restaurant, but the vintage furniture coupled with the majority of the inhabitants being fresh hipsters make this is a cosy and comfortable space. That is if you can actually get a table, it’s busy, cause it’s good.
