There are a stack of great boutique beers coming out of Victoria and we plan to try every last one of them this summer. But in honour of this sunny day, we’ll start with our current favourite.

2 Brothers brew from their place down in Moorabbin, you can pop in there for a couple of beers straight from the brewery while grabbing some snacks (check the map below).

There are a growing number of bottleshops stocking their selection of beers and ciders, with noteables being McCoppins Cellars, Seamstress Cocktail Bar in the city and Black Pearl in Fitzroy.

There is something for everyone in this tasty line up. Especially keep an eye out for their Gypsy Cider, a pear and apple combo that’s crisp, refreshing and not too dry. Perfect for a sunny session. The Growler American Brown Ale is the perfect ‘gateway’ dark beer, not too heavy and beautifully flavoured. The Taxi Pilsener, which is available on tap at Black Pearl is a great alternative to the over-hopped Euro Pilseners doing the rounds of late.
