The Waiting Room


The Waiting Room by Neil Perry opens today (13th October). Just round the corner from the successful Rockpool operation in Crown Casino, this bar concept is set to bring a much needed touch of class to the Crown complex.


You won’t find any giant daiquiris with penis straws down here. The concept has been developed by some the country’s finest bartenders and features a menu that evolves with the day. Start out with brunch cocktails to cure hangovers, progress on to some beer cocktails for getting through the hot days and move on to some more serious classic drinks with some killer molecular twists.


Check out the Corn and Oil, using Falernum Syrup and popcorn washed rum. Or the strange but enticing ‘Burnt Toast’, a Honey, Agave and citrus libation mixed with burnt toast infused Tequila.


Be sure to grab a Lord Nelson Three Sheets Pale Ale, reportedly the first time the beer has been available outside the Lord Nelson hotel in Sydney.


The food menu too changes through the day, serving brunch right up to midnight munchies. Small bites and light dinner designed to match up perfectly to the drinks.
