Today sees the launch of another artist in residence at The NGV. This time, part of the currently showing Board exhibition. If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s an amazing journey through the history of skating, primarily through the collection of decks from Tony Hallam. Tony Hawks’ first signature model
It also features a host of contemporary artists throwing down artwork on decks for a fresh spin on the genre.

The artists in residence program for this exhibition will occur 4 times throughout the exhibition which runs from 12th November to 5th February. First up in the glass cage of emotion for all to see is Apeseven and Pierre Lloga. They’ll be in the studio 17th, 18th and 19th Nov from 10am-10pm everyday for all to see.

The project is also in support of the Three Sixty Project, helping deliver skaties to kids in developing nations.
