Kubik Melbourne

There is a lot of activity surrounding Melbourne Music Week, set to launch this Friday. By far the most visually stunning is set to be the installation of KUBIK at Birrarung Marr. Having travelled throughout Europe for the last couple of years, this architectural installation features a structure built primarily from poly water tanks. The tanks are filled with lights that pulse and change colour in time with the music. Some of Europe's hardest hallucinogenics combined with this light show surely set some of Berlin's finest club goers to another dimension in recent times. The line up inside the venue can be seen here. The opening party features massive sets by Cut Copy and Midnight Juggernauts with support from Worlds End Press. There is an eclectic line up across the festival, with something for everyone to experience this revolutionary space. During the day, South Melbourne patisserie Chez Dre will be hosting a cafe. Dolling out coffee and some premium macaroons in a perfect setting down at the Marr. KUBIK Melbourne Details: Melbourne Music Week
